Designed as an immersive urban sanctuary, this courtyard café is an study in spatial balance—where bold architectural form gracefully surrenders to organic nature.
The Architectural Vision
The space is defined by an interplay of clean, geometric lines and open structural frames. Slender concrete columns, exposed beams, and expansive glazed openings create an airy, light-filled volume that blurs the traditional threshold between inside and out. The architecture acts not as a container, but as an open canvas designed to frame light, shadow, and natural elements throughout the day.
Interior & Materiality
At the heart of the concept is a refined palette of rich, tactile materials that bridge raw minimalism with warmth:
Textural Contrast: Cool, smooth concrete finishes and subtle plaster walls form a muted, architectural backdrop.
Warm Accents: Rich timber joinery, slatted screens, and framed viewports bring warmth, grounding the minimalist structure.
Lush Tactility: Deep crimson velvet stools add a touch of plush sophistication, offering rich color pops against the neutral, earth-toned setting.
Biophilic Layers: Raised grass turf plant mounds, central trees, and delicate foliage emerge directly from the space, integrated seamlessly alongside a serene, shallow water basin that catches shifting sunlight and leaves.
